On Friday, October 28, Michelle Maldonado joined over 450 students and 33 businesses who came together for Virginia’s Career & Technical Education (CTE) “Careers & Conversations” event. Held at Osbourn High School, the event focused on fostering discussions around career opportunities, and was coordinated by a team that included the Virginia Advisory Committee for CTE, Manassas City Schools, and the Manassas City Schools’ Work-Based Learning Program (WBLP).
Maldonado expressed her “heartfelt thanks to all who came together for our kids,” and noted that those attending included teachers, administrators, candidates, and elected representatives. “When they say it takes a village to raise a child, it’s the truth!” […] ” she observed. “Trades plus education plus careers is a ‘yes, and’ conversation.”
