On November 21, 2022, Del. Michelle Maldonado and Del. Brianna Sewell attended the Thanksgiving event sponsored by CASA. The event focused on supporting and welcoming immigrants to Virginia during the holiday season.
As part of the celebration, CASA donated 50 turkeys “to feed the families that mobilize our movement.” The organization also provided gift cards to enable families to prepare dishes traditional to their countries of origin. CASA is an immigrant organization that creates change through human services, community organizing, and advocacy.
