On November 22, Del. Michelle Maldonado visited with members of the American Turkish Friendship Association (ATFA) at their center in Chantilly, Virginia. The nonprofit is an interfaith NGO that works “to promote greater understanding, cooperate on meaningful projects, and build stronger bonds amongst diverse communities.”
The discussion provided the opportunity for Maldonado to learn about the organization’s community and activities, and to share more about her own legislative priorities. Maldonado described the conversation as “a rich and connective time […] learning about community services, interfaith activities, academic programs, volunteerism, and so much more.”
