On January 23, Del. Maldonado met with students taking part in the first annual “Lobby Day” co-sponsored by Coalition For Virginia’s Future (CVF). The organization aims to “uplift youth-led organizing work and promote a youth-inclusive vision for [Virginia’s] Commonwealth.”
Founding members of CVF include the Virginia Teen Democrats, Voters of Tomorrow Virginia, Pride Liberation Project, Virginia Young Democrats’ Teen Caucus, and Generation Ratify VA. The groups worked together to connect with legislators in both House and Senate, in order to advocate for issues affecting younger citizens in the Commonwealth.
