Members of the Virginia Civil Air Patrol traveled to Richmond on January 25 to mark their Legislative Day. Del. Maldonado was among the numerous legislators in the House and Senate who made time to meet with this special delegation.
Del. David Reid, who introduced the visitors to the House of Delegates, later remarked:
“It was an honor to introduce the Civil Air Patrol on the House floor. The CAP operates the worlds largest fleet of single-engine piston aircraft. Recently, they’ve been involved in distributing COVID-19 vaccines, rescue efforts after hurricane Ian, and rescue efforts in response to cars being stuck on I-95 during a snow storm last year.”
